I prefer having a house to live in with new trees planted around it. In fact, I plan on buying some land, building a house on a part of that land, then planting a bunch of trees around the house so that I can have a forest surrounding it. Then I'll buy some horses and let them roam the rest of the land (either covered by trees or no). Then I'll buy some chickens, build a coop out of some wood that I buy at Lowes, and then use them for eggs (but allowing the eggs to hatch once in a while). I might even buy a few milk cows later on when I have kids and when said kids are old enough to help me take care of them. So, you could say that I'll be giving back to the land by planting more trees then I use to build my house with. Plus... I will have an overabundance of firewood from dead trees that I may have to cut down later on, or dead branches that drop to the ground. It's my dream industry.
